Introduction

Not every relationship starts with freedom and honesty.

Some people keep finding themselves drawn to someone who is already married or committed.

And many times, it’s not just a coincidence, it’s can be seen clearly in the birth chart.

This kind of attraction comes with guilt, secrecy, and emotional confusion.

But from an astrological point of view, it has a reason.

Certain planetary combinations, house connections, and Dasha patterns can show why you attract married partners again and again even if you don’t want to.

In astrology, attraction to married partners is caused by the affliction of Venus, Moon, or influence of Rahu, Saturn.

Note: This article is not about extra marital affairs with a married person, this article rather talks about natives who are unmarried and are attracted to married people.

In this article, I will explain the signs, planets, and house placements that create this tendency.

You can read in detail on other related topic on marriage astrology.

Let’s start by understanding which planets play a major role in attracting someone else’s partner.

Why Moon Affliction Makes You Attract Married or Unavailable Partners

Moon is the main planet for emotions, bonding, and feeling safe in relationships. I have talked about it in Reasons For Emotional Disconnect In Marriage.

When Moon is under the influence of Rahu, Saturn, Venus, or Mars, it creates emotional confusion.

The native doesn’t know what they really want.

They get attached to people who feel intense but are not safe for them.

Affliction over Moon for example when Moon is close to Venus or Mars and Rahu or Saturn also influence it, the native becomes emotionally weak.

They start looking for love where it won’t last like with someone who is already married or not available.

This is not just attraction rather an emotional survival.

People are trying to fill an emotional gap inside them.

Such Moon afflictions create avoidant or anxious attachment.

The person wants love but is scared of real closeness.

So they fall for people who are already taken so they can feel love without fully opening up.

It also leads to repeating the same kind of painful love again and again.

Even if one affair ends badly, they go into another with the same pattern hoping to fix the pain inside.

There is also denial and idealization and they deny that the relationship is one-sided.

They start imagining that the married person truly understands them or will leave their partner one day.

But most of the time, it is not real it is emotional fantasy caused by an afflicted Moon.

Moon in the 6th, 8th, or 12th House also shows deep emotional weakness.

These placements are not good for emotional comfort.

They make the person sensitive, lonely from inside, and more likely to get involved in relationships that are not emotionally safe.

1. Moon in the 6th: This make one feel emotionally small or not good enough. Native may get into one-sided or unequal relationships. They try to fix or support the other person, even if that person is already married or unavailable and this becomes a trap for them.

2. Moon in the 8th: This brings emotional depth and hidden desires. The person feels everything strongly but keeps it inside. They are drawn to secret or intense relationships including affairs with married people. especially when the Moon is influenced by the planet Saturn.

3. Moon in the 12th: This gives emotional loneliness and the person suffers quietly and dreams of love but doesn’t express it openly. They fall for people who are far away, already taken, or emotionally blocked. Most of their love stays in the mind, not in real life.

How Venus, Rahu & Saturn Create Affairs with Married People

1. Venus is the Planet of Love, Desire, and Longing.

Placement of Venus shows what kind of relationship we desire and how we feel loved in return.

When Venus is strong then the native wants a stable, open, and fulfilling relationship.

But when Venus is afflicted, the pattern in love life becomes complex.

At the same time afflicted Venus does not mean the person has no chance for real love.

But it does mean they are more likely to fall into intense but complicated relationships.

If Venus is under the influence of Rahu, Ketu, or Saturn, the native starts feeling attracted to partners which stimulate their dark desires and fantasy.

They may crave love but they end up in difficult partnerships and relationships.

Native may fall for people who are already married, older, emotionally cold, or not fully available.

When Venus is conjunct Ketu, it creates a strange feeling inside the heart which doesn't allow native to operate properly.

Native may not know what real love feels like and they chase emotional bonding but end up in one-sided or silent relationships.

Remember Ketu with Venus shows Karmic debts also which native with the partner they are going to associate.

If Saturn is associated with Venus, the native feel deeply attracted to married and older partners.

They stay loyal even in difficult and complex relationships but they get exploited by their partner.

They may keep loving someone who can’t commit fully, like a married partner.

Venus in the 8th house of secrets gives a relationship which native lies to keep hidden. Whereas when Venus is in the 12th house under the aspect of Saturn then such a relationship gives them psychological relief.

And one of the most common forms of that is falling for someone who is already married.

2. Rahu – Rahu is the planet of obsession, taboo, and moral confusion.

It doesn’t care about rules and Rahu makes native to experience thrill and anything that is not allowed.

So when Rahu influences the love and marriage houses, the native gets attracted to relationships that go against social norms including with someone who is already married.

  • Rahu in the 7th house creates an obsession with complicated partnerships.
There can be age differences, cultural gap, or someone who is already committed.
  • Rahu in the 5th house brings a sudden romantic attraction which goes against norms. These natives don’t think too much before getting involved.
Native follow fantasy or emotional hunger, and ends up in romantic situations which makes life complicated.
  • When Rahu influences Venus (by conjunction or aspect), love becomes a high-stakes experience. The native takes risks in secret or forbidden relationships.
  • Rahu union with Moon brings emotional confusion and the native cannot tell what they are truly feeling. Native can become obsessive for love.

Rahu put them in a  moral struggle native may know the person is married.

But they still can’t stop thinking about them. Rahu creates such mental fog and blurs right and wrong.

3. Saturn – Saturn is the planet of rules, fear, and emotional distance.

It doesn’t encourage affairs, but when it influences love or marriage houses, it creates emotional coldness or guilt in relationships.

If Saturn is in the 5th or 7th house, or aspects the 5th or 7th lord, it can lead to such relationships.

In Navamsha, when Venus is with Saturn, especially in signs like Capricorn, Aquarius, or Cancer, the native may stay loyal to someone who cannot fully commit.

Saturn here creates situations in which native may feel stuck, responsible, or lonely which pushes them to seek connection somewhere else.

Saturn in the 5th house can delay the traditional and regular romantic experience with the same age group.

But if someone married shows interest they immediately nod with a yes!!

Saturn with Venus or Moon can make love feel like a responsibility.

They may attract people who are cold, distant, or already committed.

They stay in the connection because they feel guilty to leave or scared to ask for more.

In some cases, Saturn creates one-sided love where the native keeps giving without getting much back.

Saturn doesn’t create wild attraction like Rahu.

But it creates emotional weight and quiet suffering.

Many people in long-term affairs or complicated emotional bonds have Saturn influencing Venus, Moon, or 5th/7th house.

They know it won’t work, but they keep holding on.

Because Saturn makes them believe love must come with struggle.

Dasha Periods That Trigger Affairs with Married People

It doesn't matter what placements are in our horoscope, it is the dasha and transits which triggers the events.

Most of the time, it gets triggered during specific Dasha periods especially when planets like Rahu, Venus, Moon, Saturn, or Ketu get activated.

These periods bring confusion, attraction, or fantasy  depending on how these planets are placed in the chart.

Let’s break down the most common Dasha combinations that lead to such patterns.

1. Rahu–Venus or Venus–Rahu: This is one of the most common combinations. Venus is the planet of love, romance, desire, and beauty.

Rahu Mahadasha brings obsession, confusion, and the tendency to break rules. The period of Venus in Rahu Mahadasha should be passed with caution in this regard.

Together, they create emotional and physical attraction that can bypass logic or morality.

If Venus or Rahu is placed in the 7th, 5th, 8th, or 12th house or if they are conjunct in any house then the native can start a secret affair or get drawn to someone already married.

Rahu also amplifies the desire to get what is socially not acceptable.

Even if the native is sensible during Rahu–Venus period they may lose control over emotions and get involved in a morally grey relationship.

2. Venus–Ketu or Ketu–Venus: This Dasha creates painful love patterns.

Venus wants to love and feel loved.

But Ketu doesn’t care about relationships it brings detachment, loss, and karmic situations.

So when Ketu and Venus get activated together, the native may attract someone who is unavailable or emotionally cold.

It can also lead to relationships with people who hide their real life like someone already married but pretending to be single.

3. Moon–Rahu or Rahu–Moon:  Moon controls emotions and denotes our attachment style.

Rahu gives controls illusion and confusion.

This antardasha of the Moon disturbs emotional clarity.

The native may become emotionally unstable or idealize someone who doesn’t actually value them.

If Moon is already weak or afflicted in the chart, this Dasha can make the native fall in love with a married person and still believe the relationship is pure or destined.

The native thinks, “They love me too” but the reality is one-sided.

This Dasha can also bring sudden starts and breakups, especially if Moon is in 6th, 8th, or 12th house.

3. Venus–Saturn or Saturn–Venus:  This period of Saturn mahadasha and Venus antardasha often brings relationships that feel serious, committed, and intense.

But if either Venus or Saturn is weak or placed in difficult houses (like 6th, 8th, or 12th), the relationship brings more pressure than peace.

There may be age difference, karmic debts, or imbalance in availability.

Many times this Dasha leads to attraction toward married or emotionally unavailable people not because of thrill, but because it feels “meant to be.”

3. Rahu–Moon, Rahu–Saturn, or Rahu–Ketu: These combinations affect emotional clarity and break stability.

The native may take bold steps without thinking about long-term effects.

Affairs or sudden secret relationships are common during these Dashas.

If these planets are placed in the 5th, 7th, 8th, or 12th house, or if they influence Venus or Moon, it increases the risk of getting involved in a hidden relationships which becomes painful with time.

Horoscopes of People Who Got Involved with Married Partners

Given below are the two horoscopes which show that the rules I have mentioned above are totally applicable.

These two horoscopes belong to female natives where the first example Horoscope shows debilitated Moon in the 1st house which makes her emotionally sensitive.

She is a vulnerable by nature and you can she have Saturn and Venus in the 6th house and both have mutual aspect with retrograde Mars which is placed in 12th house.

Example Horoscope Shows Native have union of Saturn and Venus

The native was in the dasha of Venus-Rahu when she was 21 years old and had a affair with a guy who is married.

The second horoscope again belongs to a girl who was in a relationship with a married older guy for 3-4 years. The horoscope given below shows that she have very afflicted Moon with Saturn and Mars in 6th house.

This make her prone to emotional issues which means she can be manipulated easily and she also have Venus in 8th house of hidden affair.

I have mentioned above how Venus in the 8th house causes affairs and under the Saturn aspect it shows with someone who is older than the native.

Conclusion

Getting attracted to someone who is already married is not always a conscious choice.

For many people, it becomes a repeated emotional pattern.

And when we look at their chart, we often see the same placements again and again afflicted Moon, Rahu in the 5th or 7th, Venus with Ketu or Saturn.

These combinations create emotional hunger, confusion, or loneliness.

And the native ends up in a relationship that gives intensity but no stability.

This article is not about judging anyone.

It is about understanding why these patterns happen and what kind of planets are involved.

Because unless you understand your chart and your emotional blueprint, you will keep attracting the same kind of love again and again.

Real healing starts when you stop chasing unavailable people and start fixing the placements that make you do that.

Check your Moon.

Check your Venus.

Check what kind of Dashas are running right now.

And take your emotions seriously.

That’s how you break the cycle.
